How we measure
Every measurement is in inches, taken with the piece laid flat. Tag sizes on thrifted clothes are all over the place, so trust the numbers, not the tag.
Find your fit
Take something you already love wearing, lay it flat and measure it the same way. Then compare those numbers with the listing.
Jackets, Hoodies & tops
- Pit to pit
- Straight across the chest, armpit seam to armpit seam. Double it for the full chest.
- Length
- From the top of the shoulder, next to the collar, straight down to the bottom hem.
- Sleeve
- From the shoulder seam to the end of the cuff.
- Shoulder
- Across the back, shoulder seam to shoulder seam.
Pants
- Waist
- Straight across the top of the waistband. Double it for the full waist.
- Inseam
- From the crotch seam down the inside of the leg to the hem.
- Rise
- From the crotch seam up to the top of the waistband, at the front.
- Leg opening
- Straight across the hem of one leg.
Accessories
- Width
- The widest point, side to side.
- Height
- Bottom to top, not counting straps or handles.
- Depth
- Front to back, at the base.
Other
- Width
- The widest point, side to side.
- Length
- The longest point, end to end.
Condition
Condition is scored out of 10. Every flaw we find is photographed, tagged “Flaw” in the gallery and described under the price.
